You're It

1. Where did you meet your husband?
Steve and I first met when we were 16 at Dan's grocery store. I was a checker and he was a bagger. We got in trouble a lot because he would always bag for me and avoid the other checkers if he could.

2. What is the first thing you said to your husband?
I don't really remember since that was 7 years ago. Steve reminds me of a time of when we first met though...He says the first day he saw me I was sitting in the breakroom reading a magazine. He walked in the room and I totally ignored him and didn't even say hi. He thought I was stuck up because of that experience. However, I think I was just enjoying my magazine. Plus, I was a little shy when it came to meeting new guys.

3. Where was your first date?
Our first date was the Monster Mash dance at my school. I asked Steve by putting a big chair and teddy bear on his porch and then some clever line that I don't remember. It was an awesome date that we both still talk about.

4. Where was your first kiss?
Well, technically we have 2 first kisses. One from high school when we first dated. That was after the Valentine's Day dance (I think that is junior prom) for my school. It was pretty sloppy and messy, but funny to talk about. I always say that it was bad kissing on his part for the sloppy kiss. Then, we had another first kiss a couple days after he got back from his mission. That one went much better.

5. Did you have a long or short courtship/engagement?
The first time we dated was for 9 months. Then, we broke up and were best friends all the way up until he got back from his mission. We tried dating after high school and before his mission, but it just didn't work. After his mission he was only back for just over a month when we decided to get married. Then he proposed with the ring two months later. Our engagement was 9 months long. (Which was way too long!) By the time we got married we had known each other nearly 6 years.

6. Where did you get engaged?
Steve set it up for me to go into work. He proposed to me there in a tux in this offset room. I was totally surprised. Afterward we went to Spaghetti Factory (my favorite restaurant) where our families meet us to congratulate us. A couple weeks after we got engaged we went up Millcreek Canyon to do some engagement photos, but our car (actually Steve's parents van) caught on fire before we even had a chance to take our first picture. The fire department came up the canyon to rescue us. When they found out that we were up there trying to take engagement photos they gave us their gear and told us to take some photos on the fire truck. These became our unofficial engagement photos until we had our photographer take some more a couple months later.

7. Where were you married?
We were married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 10, 2006. The most beautiful day ever!

8. How did your reception go?
Well, we actually had two of them. Our first one was at such a beautiful place up the mountain. Except for a few minor details everything went really well.

9. How was the honeymoon?
What am I supposed to say to that?! It was really great! We had sex and played on the sunny beaches in Cancun. I would say that was a pretty typical honeymoon.

10. Who's turn is next?
Whoever really wants to do it. I don't know...
