UGH!!! I have been so mad lately because one of my instructors hates me. I have no idea why because I try to be a studious student, but she doesn't think that at all. The whole semester she has been against me and will not work with me at all. Today just topped it all though. I got back a mini writing quiz back today from her and she wrote at the bottom of it...Frankly, I don't know if you actually read the article or just wrote this from my posted lecture online. I guess I will just give you the benefit of the doubt. So, she ended up giving me full credit, but the comment offended me. I think that I have a lot of integrity. I actually did do the reading assignment. The assignment was to read one of ten articles that she had posted online. I had picked that article and read it before the lecture even began. Then, the next day we had to write on the article. There is nothing I could have written about that article that would have differentiated it from the lecture. My thought is, if she didn't want us writing on that one cause she covered it in class, then she shouldn't have posted it as one of our options. I think that was totally wrong of her to write that on my paper!

Surgery!!! AHHH!

I hate surgery! Can I just tell you that right off? My first semester of nursing school I went to the OR, and I watched a total knee replacement surgery. This was not a good experience at all. First of all, the patient was largely obese and so it took them 7 tries just to get him a spinal epidural! I don't know if any of you have seen the needle used for this procedure, but all I can tell you is that it is longest needle in world history! It is not a pretty site! Then, they had me stand over the patient's head on a stool to look over the drape at what they were doing. The patient is wide awake just looking around. Meanwhile, on the other side of the drape they are burning fat, knocking on bones, etc. Seeing all this made me so light-headed that I past out right there in the OR! They had to wheel me over in a wheelchair to recovery while they kept an eye on me to make sure I was alright! It was pretty embarrasing. So, to get to the point...Today I had to return to the OR, but this time at Primary Children's Hospital. I have been anxious about it the last 2 weeks! When I got there I found out that I could just go with the ENT surgeon. So, I saw a tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy. That wasn't too bad at all. Afterward, I watched them remove this unknown mass off this girl's neck! That wasn't such a pretty site at all. I had to look away a few times during the hour long surgery just to keep my barings. All in all, this last time went much better than the first time. However, I definitely know that I will never work in the OR. I am so glad that I never have to go back!

Could It Ever Get Harder to Go to the Temple!!!

So, this past Saturday we drove up to Logan to see Kevin and Valeri. My parents drove up also. This was so that we could all go to the temple together. Right before we left Kevin's house I realized that I had forgotten my temple recommend all the way back home. We went to the temple anyway and they called my Bishop. Then, we were going to get in when the guy at the front desk told Kevin that his recommend was expired! FOR THE LOVE! Kevin and Valeri ended up not being able to go inside after all that work! So, it ended up being just my parents, Steve and me. We still went out to dinner with Kevin and Valeri, though, at this really yummy steak house.

Our 1st Apartment!!!

This is our very first apartment! These are a few pictures of our 4 room apartment. We have almost finished furnishing it, but we are still working on a few things. Steve has gotten real good at drilling holes in all sorts of walls including cement bricks! We are currently working on refinishing a book shelf for our front room that we got for free. Our apartment is in a very convenient location because I am able to take the campus shuttle to school, and Steve is able to take it to work everyday. We are very lucky to be living here, but we will be kicked out by the end of next summer unless I decide to go back for my master's degree next Fall semester.

SCHOOL!!! AHHH!

Well, school has finally come to a start. I have to go everyday, and it gets very tiring. But, I love all of my classes and I think it will be a very interesting semester. Steve, on the other hand, is working full time and going to school! I think he definitely deserves the excuse to say that he is tired! He has been very studious and has been doing much more homework than me!

Our first blogging experience!

Well, this is our first entry on this. We decided to start this since so many people we know have started one. We thought it would be a fun way to post what is going on in our lives.
The official countdown for school is 3 days! We are excited to see what this semester will bring for us. Hopefully, we can keep our sanity these next few months!
