We finally got the rest of our cloth diapers in and they are so fun to use. We have them in pink, blue, yellow, green, and white. It is fun to go in her drawer and pick out the color diaper that she will wear. It will be fun in the summer for her bum to poke out from underneath her dress and see them. It is definitely more affordable than disposable diapers. Plus, it is a lot better to not have to throw all those diapers in the landfill. An amazing fact that I learned was that diapers are the number 3 thing disposed of in landfills. I am not sure what number 1 and 2 are though. The other cool thing is that they are just as easy as using a regular diaper because they just velcro on like a regular diaper and your done. They just have a little pocket inside that you put an insert in to absorb everything and the actual diaper wicks away all the moisture from their skin. Pretty cool invention I think.

are those the bum genius diapers I have a friend who uses them and it sounds very enticing! diapers are so expensive

I think you are brave to use cloth diapers. I want to be enviromentally friendly too, but I can't bring myself to do those kind of diapers. Hopefully Donovan will be potty trained soon and I won't have to worry about it anymore!:-)
These diapers aren't actually really that daring. I started out totally against it, but my mom talked me into trying them. Now I like them a ton. We have had a hard time finding diapers that don't give her a severe diaper rash. The only thing that I ever found was Pampers. These diapers do an awesome job at helping prevent and heal the rashes without any creams! Since I am breastfeeding I don't even have to rinse them off. Once she gets solids I buy this attachment for the toilet to rinse them off so I don't have to do the discusting swish in the toilet. Pretty easy and way cute.
